Mechanical Assembler

About This Role

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will drive continuous improvement in operations and assembly processes, working with inert and energetic materials. This role involves performing various production assembly operations on components and sub-assemblies, utilizing visual aids and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and press inert & energetic materials
• Set up and use analytical balance
• Perform inert assembly operations
• Perform minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work
• Set up and use powder press for pressing operation
• Perform various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies
• Use visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units
• Install sub-assemblies
• Display proficient dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices
• Attend offsite training classes to maintain certification requirements if required

Requirements

• Ability to understand, speak, read and write in English
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Qualifications

• 1 year industry assembly work preferred

Nice to Have

• Soldering experience
