Materials Management Technician

About This Role

Deliver and maintain supplies and patient care equipment, process stock item requests, and perform receiving/storeroom and linen distribution functions to support user departments within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver supplies to user departments
• Maintain inventory control for assigned areas to ensure customer supply needs are met
• Process requests for stock items
• Perform data entry relating to the patient charge sheet process
• Maintain patient care equipment
• Perform receiving/storeroom functions
• Perform related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed
• Complete assigned goals

Requirements

• 6 months working with patient care supplies & equipment
• Knowledge of medical and non-medical supplies
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

• 6 months working with patient care supplies & equipment, including ability to calculate usage and demand along with basic purchasing procedures.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in medical supplies
• Ability to calculate usage and demand for supplies
• Basic purchasing procedures
• Working knowledge of Materials Management Information System and general warehouse/storeroom operations
