Material Handler

About This Role

Handle, move, and organize materials efficiently within a warehouse setting, ensuring accurate tracking and preparation for binding or mailing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lay up, feed, or pile down materials at equipment
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skids
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips for accurate tracking
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together
• Use automated equipment and/or occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist for material handling

Requirements

• Ability to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions
• Ability to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements
• Skill in the use of shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, pallet jacks, manual dollies, carts or hand trucks and hand tools

Nice to Have

• Experience in operating/using forklift truck
