Material Handler

About This Role

Responsible for the movement, storage, and verification of materials within a manufacturing environment, ensuring proper handling, shipping, and documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of shipping methods (UPS, FedEx, ground carriers, domestic and International) including proper shipping, scheduling, and arrangements for pickups
• Perform proper packing, wrapping, and preparation of packages and documentation following established shipping procedures
• Unload material from delivery vehicles, verify and receive material, and ensure proper storage
• Pick material to support production requirements, including delivery to specific locations and line-side storage
• Perform clerical functions in accordance with policies and procedures, including working with numbers and operating office machines
• Execute cycle count processes and interplant transfers (transfer and ordering process)
• Manage material shortage reporting and maintain warehouse organization (5S, building/maintaining carts, and racking)
• Process DMR’s/Red Tags and order replacement parts
• Follow work standards and maintain Hazardous Waste Generator and HazMat DOT Certifications

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Effective communication skills, written and oral
• Good math skills
• Forklift license (must be able to obtain an E-ONE-issued forklift license)
• Recordkeeping abilities
• Knowledge of and adherence to E-ONE safety practices
• Maintain Hazardous Waste Generator Certification as required by 40 CFR 262.3, 264.16, and 265.16 annually
• Maintain HazMat DOT Certification for CFR Part 177, and 390-397 every 3 years
