Material Handler

About This Role

Responsible for the accurate and timely movement of raw materials to and from production lines, ensuring continuous manufacturing processes. This role involves picking, staging, and returning materials while meticulously recording all transactions in the ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Complete and document daily forklift inspections
• Move material to and from stock to manufacturing lines using a pick ticket
• Accurately transact all material movements real time into Syspro
• Continuously replenish raw material to manufacturing ensuring no stoppage in the manufacturing process
• Remove finished good pallets from manufacturing lines, shrink wrap and stage in the appropriate area
• Clear manufacturing lines of all raw material at completion of production run
• Accurately count material returning to stock, attach a "COUNTED" sticker with updated quantity, initial and date
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout building including pallet organization, emptying of dumpsters and loading of recyclable material into dunnage trailer
• Communicate with manufacturing Line Operators to understand their needs and status of current and future jobs
• Movement of inventory and non-inventory pallets to ensure efficient operations
• Perform accurate Cycle Counts and any requested counts

Requirements

• Proficient with data entry into an ERP system
• Ability to work as a team and independently
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to perform all tasks while continuously standing
• Ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately while ensuring quality
