Material Handler

About This Role

The Material Handler 1 is responsible for the efficient shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing of materials within the plant. This role involves accurately processing and loading shipments, operating powered industrial equipment, and utilizing warehouse technology to track inventory movement.

Responsibilities

• Complete shipments by processing and accurately loading orders to meet production schedules.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, to facilitate material handling tasks.
• Utilize warehouse equipment effectively to streamline operations, ensuring timely movement of materials throughout the facility.
• Schedule, move, weigh, stock, receive, and pack inbound and outbound products, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Load and unload trucks with precision, ensuring the safe transport of materials and products.
• Utilize JDE, RFS, and RF technology to accurately track inventory movement and streamline shipping processes.
• Deliver raw materials to work centers promptly to support production operations and minimize downtime.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through regular counts and reconciliations, ensuring stock levels align with production needs.
• Ensure all materials are correctly labeled and packaged, inspecting for damage to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in operating a forklift preferred.
