Material Handler II

About This Role

Efficiently manage the receiving, processing, and distribution of materials within the warehouse and cold room, while maintaining organization and cleanliness. This role ensures timely order fulfillment and supports the assembly of medical diagnostic reagent kits.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Validate received materials and perform data entry into the MRP system
• Organize and properly store cold storage materials in refrigerators
• Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, and packing boxes
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards
• Open and tear down crates, pallets, and other containers
• Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and recording material movements via computer
• Prepare parcels for shipping and oversee quantity and part number validation
• Assist Logistics and Warehouse management in tracking KPIs for performance
• Assemble reagent kits under supervision in a timely manner
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by organizing shelves, pallet areas, and workstations
• Wear proper safety equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
• Experience with internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox)
• Ability to learn new software programs
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years previous work experience in a similar position preferred

Nice to Have

• 1-3 years previous experience in a similar position
• Experience with Fedex/UPS/DHL shipping portals
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems
• Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations (cGMP) and International Standards (ISO) pertaining to medical devices
