This Material Handler I role is responsible for all material handling activities for QuidelOrtho, including picking, packing, loading, unloading, and verifying materials. The position requires maintaining an organized work area and complying with cGMPs.
Responsibilities
- Pick/Pack customer orders and manufacturing orders to conform with instructions, regulations and department SOPs
- Unload trucks and palletize all incoming materials and store/deliver to appropriate area/individual
- Visually inspect for accuracy and condition prior to signing receipt documentation
- Enter receipt information into applicable computer system, if applicable
- Load freight on carriers in accordance with shipping manifest reports and Bill of Lading
- Pick, Stage, and Deliver components for manufacturing orders based on move request and/or transfer orders (TO's)
- Process all materials for scrap when required in accordance with medical and/or hazardous waste regulations
- Process receipt, storage and destruction of returned goods in accordance with the Returned Goods Policy
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related experience in a distribution related environment
- Experience in SAP and Warehouse Management systems
- Microsoft Office Suite Experience (Word, Excel, etc)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related experience in a distribution related environment
Nice to Have
- Experience operating a forklift, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment
- Experience working in a Biotechnology, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or Consumer Product Manufacturing environment
