Material Handler I

About This Role

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient management of materials and maintenance of inventory accuracy across all operations processes within a warehouse setting in Norcross, GA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inventory cycle counts
• Participate in annual physical inventory counts
• Perform stock checks, audits, and verifications
• Unload, unpack, inspect, identify, and put-away incoming freight
• Accurately transact incoming freight in the computer system (Business Central)
• Move inventory physically and systematically throughout internal processes
• Replenish inventory picking locations to support the picking process
• Safely operate equipment (forklift & box truck) to move inventory
• Pick goods for order fulfillment
• Package goods for shipment (LTL, FTL, and parcel)
• Create shipping documents
• Transact shipments in ERP (Business Central)
• Use internet to create FedEx and UPS labels

Requirements

• Forklift experience
• 2 years of inventory control or material handling experience
• Knowledge of computerized inventory and order management systems (ERP)
• Ability to lift, climb, stand, walk, turn, and pivot for the duration of the shift
• Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull up to shoulder height of 50 lbs without assistance
• Proven knowledge of warehouse and production procedures

Qualifications

• 2 years of inventory control or material handling experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with Business Central
• Ability to drive a box truck between facilities
