Master Stylist

About This Role

Engage with guests to consult on hair care needs, recommend products and services, and deliver quality professional services with an emphasis on the guest’s total look. Support the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, guest service, and adherence to operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform hair services including design, haircuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing where applicable
• Meet or exceed sales and productivity goals for hair services ($1250 average weekly sales)
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest service experience
• Support the execution of in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives
• Stay informed regarding new and existing industry trends, products, and services
• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail and service recommendations
• Serve all guests, including walk-in guests, in a timely and efficient manner
• Partner with skin therapists and the retail team to provide a total-store guest experience
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, standards, and state board guidelines
• Utilize appropriate booking and clientele systems to book guests for return services and events

Requirements

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing services
• Proficiency with use of equipment and chemicals needed for technical work
• Proficiency to demonstrate, recommend and sell pro hair care and makeup products
• Developed communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and clientele

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license
• Previous relevant work experience is required
