About This Role

Join Amazon's Leo satellite broadband network to help full-scale production of Leo satellites, ensuring quality, reliability, and manufacturability for global internet connectivity. This role involves assembling and testing avionic components while championing safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
  • Assemble and test an assortment of avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, fiber-optics, and PCBAs
  • Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Support preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
  • Identify equipment requirements, process improvements, and maintain floor stock inventory
  • Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
  • Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
  • Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients using pallet jacks and kit carts
  • Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification
  • 1+ years of hand tools experience (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches)
  • 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system
  • Ability to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
  • Flexible to work/commute between site locations
  • Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, bend, grasp, pull, push, stoop, stretch
  • Ability to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted
  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification; 1+ years of hand tools experience; 1+ years working with test tools and test methods

Nice to Have

  • Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license
  • Prior telecom (fiber optics) experience
  • CFOT certification or equivalent experience
  • Airman or Avionic certification or equivalent experience
  • ASE certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience in fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments
  • 1+ years able to read, interpret and work from engineering documentation and/ or drawings
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
  • 1+ years of Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration and/or Harness Integration experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
