This role supports clients in complying with Department of Labor Wage and Hour requirements, including various federal labor laws and the Inflation Reduction Act. The Manager will provide guidance, conduct compliance assessments, and assist with DOL investigations for federal contractors and funding recipients. They will also supervise and train junior staff and contribute to thought leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and solutions to clients on federal contractor/federal funding recipient labor law requirements (SCA, DBRA, FLSA, etc.)
- Conduct compliance assessments, mock audits, and recommend/implement process/system improvements
- Support contractors during DOL investigations and act as an interface with DOL
- Apply regulatory knowledge to evaluate investigative findings and compliance practices
- Prepare historical calculations to remediate prior non-compliances and provide settlement/payment options
- Review and develop client policies, procedures, and tools for compliance
- Support requests for equitable adjustment, claims, debarment proceedings, and other labor law disputes
- Serve as a technical resource for client questions
- Assist Directors and Partners with client proposals and scoping opportunities
- Participate in firm development activities and marketing initiatives
- Contribute to thought leadership through articles, white papers, or presentations
- Supervise, schedule, develop, and train associates and senior associates
- Review and evaluate work prepared by associates and senior associates
- Provide verbal and written performance feedback to associates and senior associates
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant federal contracting experience
- Experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)
- Experience with SCA (Service Contract Act)
- Experience with DBRA (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts)
- Experience with FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act)
- Experience with CWHSSA (Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act)
- Experience with Minimum Wage and Paid Sick Leave Executive Orders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five (5) or more years of relevant federal contracting experience

- Experience with the Inflation Reduction Act
