Manage a team focused on ensuring compliance with auditor independence policies for business relationships within a regulated professional services environment. This role involves reviewing proposed alliances, teaming arrangements, and sponsorships to mitigate risk and enable Deloitte's operations and growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage a domestic and international team processing business relationships and consultations, providing guidance and training
- Perform critical secondary reviews of business relationship submissions in the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Gateway
- Collaborate with Lead Client Service Partners, Professional Practice Directors, Regional Compliance Officers, and other stakeholders on business relationship consultations
- Identify and implement enhancements to the existing business relationship clearance process and tools, including the TPRM Gateway
- Work with technology development on enhancements and perform user acceptance testing
- Take a management role in completing independence processes and assigned projects
- Monitor, foster, and reinforce data quality in the TPRM Gateway
- Create and present training sessions on business relationships across internal ICN and all Deloitte businesses
- Participate in the ICN Business Relationships team strategy and operations coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years related experience
- Experience with professional services firm and understanding of auditor independence requirements
- Supervision, coaching, and team management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Strong ability to analyze facts and relationships
- Ability to perform process flow management
- Ability to learn, understand and apply Deloitte's independence policies and guidance related to business relationships
- Strong technology skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years related experience required
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in a related field (preferably business, finance or accounting) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Prior public accounting, consulting, or regulatory compliance experience
