Manager, Cloud Architecture

About This Role

As a Manager, Cloud Architecture, you will lead the definition and design of robust and secure infrastructure solutions for modern digital products, acting as the technical visionary for software development efforts. You will drive a Cloud-first strategy, ensuring scalability, high performance, and embed security controls into all designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and design of robust infrastructure solutions that prioritize scalability, high performance, and secure network architecture
• Partner closely with Cyber and Security teams to embed security controls within all infrastructure designs
• Develop proof-of-concepts to showcase the feasibility of innovative ideas and infrastructure advancements
• Own designing security at both the network and identity levels, implementing best practices for network segmentation, identity management, and access governance
• Provide technical support for analysis of business requirements and applicability to platform capabilities
• Participate in end-to-end functionality assessment during Validation Testing phases (SIT, UAT)
• Manage cloud infrastructure costs, budgets, and cost forecasting
• Drive recommendations for business prioritization, roadmaps, and product improvements
• Design efficient, secure, adaptable, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions using Azure infrastructure and platform services
• Embrace and enforce DevOps practices for continuous delivery and self-healing systems
• Lead project deliverables across multiple work-streams with high quality and engineering discipline
• Practice and enforce Agile and Scrum development methodologies
• Mentor others through technical and professional growth

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance, especially within .Net, HTML5/CSS3, and WCF technologies
• 5+ years of experience with Azure with a proven record of designing and delivering high-volume, highly scalable, and performant solutions on large-scale globally distributed systems
• Minimum 1 year leadership/management experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance, especially within, .Net, HTML5/CSS3, and WCF technologies. 5+ years of experience with Azure with a proven record of designing and delivering high-volume, highly scalable, and performant solutions on large-scale globally distributed systems. Minimum 1 year leadership/management experience.

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of experience with AWS or other cloud providers
• Experience with BI Tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qliksense) and DI Tools (Informatica)
• Experience with PaaS services, understanding leading practices and adoption patterns
• Experience with IaaS, such as Microsoft SQL Server and database administration (e.g., Always On)
• Experience with networking, firewalls, load-balancers in Azure and on-premise
• Experience analyzing and manipulating data on Excel or similar tools
• Experience of cost management on Azure or on any CSP, as well as cost saving techniques on different clouds
• Experience with messaging architectures SOAP and REST with JSON text encoding
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other most common backend Microsoft technologies
• Experience automating the provisioning and automation of architectures and solutions (Infrastructure-as-Code)
• Experience and understanding of event-driven and delegate-based design paradigms
• Experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge and applicability of various normal forms
• Experience in developing of IT architecture plans and software development methodologies
