Manager, Cloud Architecture - AAPS

About This Role

Lead the definition, design, and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions for Deloitte's digital products, focusing on Azure. Champion a Cloud-first strategy and DevOps practices while mentoring development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and design of robust infrastructure solutions prioritizing scalability, performance, and security.
• Partner with Cyber and Security teams to embed security controls into all infrastructure designs.
• Develop proof-of-concepts for innovative ideas and infrastructure advancements.
• Design security at network and identity levels, ensuring secure access controls and authentication.
• Provide technical support for business requirements analysis against platform capabilities.
• Manage cloud infrastructure costs, budgets, and forecasting.
• Drive recommendations for business prioritization, roadmaps, and product improvements.
• Design efficient, secure, adaptable, scalable, and reliable Azure cloud solutions (infrastructure, platform, data, networking, application).
• Embrace DevOps for continuous delivery and self-healing systems.
• Lead project deliverables across multiple work-streams with high quality and engineering discipline.
• Practice and enforce Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
• Oversee complex client engagements and projects, capturing business requirements and managing expectations.
• Provide expert technical guidance in evaluating business requirements for platform alignment.
• Guide teams in designing, developing, and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Act as primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, and developers/testers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance, especially within, .Net, HTML5/CSS3, and WCF technologies.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure with a proven record of designing and delivering high-volume, highly scalable, and performant solutions on large-scale globally distributed systems.
• Minimum 1 year leadership/management experience.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
• Ability to travel 0-10%, on average.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance, especially with .Net, HTML5/CSS3, and WCF technologies. 5+ years of experience with Azure. Minimum 1 year leadership/management experience.

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of experience with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Prior experience and exposure to BI Tools - like Tableau, PowerBI, Qliksense and DI Tools like Informatica etc.
• Prior experience with PaaS services.
• Prior experience with IaaS, such as Microsoft SQL Server and database administration.
• Prior experience with networking, firewalls, load-balancers in Azure and on-premise.
• Prior experience analyzing and manipulating data on Excel or similar tools.
• Prior experience of cost management on Azure or on any CSP.
• Prior experience with messaging architectures SOAP and REST with JSON text encoding.
• Prior experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other most common backend Microsoft technologies.
• Prior experience building sustainable relationships with colleagues and key individuals.
• Prior experience automating the provisioning and automation of architectures and solutions (Infrastructure-as-Code).
• Prior experience and understanding of event-driven and delegate-based design paradigms.
• Prior experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge and applicability of various normal forms.
• Prior experience in developing of IT architecture plans and software development methodologies.
