As a Manager, Cloud Architecture, you will lead the definition and design of robust and secure cloud infrastructure solutions, prioritizing scalability and high performance. You will act as a technical visionary, overseeing product development activities and evangelizing a Cloud-first strategy for software development teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and design of robust infrastructure solutions that prioritize scalability, high performance, and secure network architecture.
- Partner closely with Cyber and Security teams to embed security controls within all infrastructure designs.
- Develop proof-of-concepts to showcase the feasibility of innovative ideas and infrastructure advancements.
- Take ownership of designing security at both the network and identity levels.
- Provide technical support for analysis of business requirements and applicability to Platform/Enabler/API Platform capabilities.
- Manage the cost of infrastructure in the cloud as well as manage budgets and cost forecasting.
- Drive recommendations for business prioritization, roadmaps, and product improvements.
- Design efficient, secure, adaptable, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions that include Azure infrastructure and platform services.
- Embrace the DevOps way of working for continuous delivery and self-healing systems.
- Lead project deliverables across multiple work-streams and guide projects with high quality and engineering discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent
- 6+ years of relevant experience within OOD, UML, stateless distributed architectures, designing for scalability and performance
- Experience with .Net, HTML5/CSS3, and WCF technologies
- 5+ years of experience with Azure with a proven record of designing and delivering high-volume, highly scalable, and performant solutions on large-scale globally distributed systems
- 1+ year leadership/management experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance, especially within, .Net, HTML5/CSS3, and WCF technologies. Minimum 5 years of experience with Azure. Minimum 1 year leadership/management experience.
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of experience with AWS or other cloud providers
- Prior experience and exposure to BI Tools like Tableau, PowerBI, Qliksense and DI Tools like Informatica
- Prior experience with PaaS services
- Prior experience with IaaS, such as Microsoft SQL Server and database administration (e.g., Always On)
- Prior experience with networking, firewalls, load-balancers in Azure and on-premise
- Prior experience analyzing and manipulating data on Excel or similar tools
- Prior experience of cost management on Azure or on any CSP
- Prior experience with messaging architectures SOAP and REST with JSON text encoding
- Prior experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other common backend Microsoft technologies
- Prior experience building sustainable relationships
- Prior experience automating the provisioning and automation of architectures and solutions (i.e., Infrastructure-as-Code)
- Prior experience and understanding of event-driven and delegate-based design paradigms
- Prior experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge and applicability of various normal forms
- Prior experience in developing of IT architecture plans and software development methodologies.
