Manager, Cloud Architecture - AAPS

About This Role

As a Manager, Cloud Architecture - AAPS, you will envision and develop new digital products by leading day-to-day product development activities across design, development, stakeholder communication, technology vendor management, and delivery. You will act as the technical visionary and leader for ongoing and future software development efforts, evangelizing a Cloud-first strategy for software development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and design of robust infrastructure solutions prioritizing scalability, high performance, and secure network architecture.
• Partner closely with Cyber and Security teams to embed security controls within all infrastructure designs.
• Develop proof-of-concepts to showcase the feasibility of innovative ideas and infrastructure advancements.
• Take ownership of designing security at both the network and identity levels, ensuring secure access controls and authentication.
• Manage the cost of infrastructure in the cloud as well as manage budgets and cost forecasting.
• Drive recommendations for business prioritization, roadmaps, and product improvements.
• Design efficient, secure, adaptable, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions that include Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Embrace the DevOps way of working for continuous delivery and self-healing systems.
• Lead project deliverables across multiple work-streams and guide projects with high quality and engineering discipline.
• Practice and enforce Agile and Scrum development methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in OOD, UML, stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance (.Net, HTML5/CSS3, WCF).
• 5+ years of experience with Azure, designing and delivering high-volume, highly scalable, and performant solutions on large-scale globally distributed systems.
• Minimum 1 year leadership/management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance, especially within, .Net, HTML5/CSS3, and WCF technologies. 5+ years of experience with Azure with a proven record of designing and delivering high-volume, highly scalable, and performant solutions on large-scale globally distributed systems. Minimum 1 year leadership/management experience.

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of experience with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Prior experience and exposure to BI Tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qliksense) and DI Tools (Informatica).
• Prior experience with PaaS services, understanding leading practices and adoption patterns.
• Prior experience with IaaS (Microsoft SQL Server and database administration like Always On).
• Prior experience with networking, firewalls, load-balancers in Azure and on-premise.
• Prior experience analyzing and manipulating data on Excel or similar tools.
• Prior experience of cost management on Azure or any CSP, as well as cost saving techniques on different clouds.
• Prior experience with messaging architectures (SOAP and REST with JSON text encoding).
• Prior experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other common backend Microsoft technologies.
• Prior experience building sustainable relationships with colleagues and key individuals.
• Prior experience automating the provisioning and automation of architectures and solutions (Infrastructure-as-Code).
• Prior experience and understanding of event-driven and delegate-based design paradigms.
• Prior experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge and applicability of various normal forms.
• Prior experience in developing of IT architecture plans and software development methodologies.
