This Management Trainee program develops future leaders in swine production through a one-year program with hands-on farm training and leadership development. The role involves engaging in production activities and understanding the business from production to finance.
Responsibilities
- Engage in a comprehensive one-year training program focused on swine production and leadership
- Participate in hands-on farm production activities, becoming certified in both Farrowing and Breeding & Gestation
- Attend monthly leadership training meetings to understand the business, from production to finance
- Shadow farm support staff and spend time with the Wean to Service team to learn about other phases of operations
- Take part in team-building seminars and Continuous Improvement (CI) Training Programs
- Gain a deep understanding of business structure, financials, and swine health practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field
- Ability to solve problems, collect and analyze data, and communicate effectively
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced barn environment with exposure to animal dander, dust, and varying temperatures
Qualifications
