Feed Mill Technician

About This Role

This role is for a detail-oriented Feed Mill Operator responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies, overseeing feed inventories, and maintaining cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in a safe manner consistent with CVFF policies, procedures and safety training
• Monitor ingredient and finished feed inventories
• Maintain good housekeeping consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in assigned areas
• Perform general labor duties as assigned by management
• Ensure micro-bins are filled according to SOPs
• Collect all required samples as defined in the Quality Assurance Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Perform all required testing as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation
• Monitor batching, pelleting, fat application, grinding and routing processes
• Input information into computer automation system accurately
• Operate equipment, automatically or manually, via computer automation consistent with procedures
• Promote safe work practices through example and maintain a lost work day incident rate equal to zero
• Attend scheduled safety meetings and other training meetings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Nice to Have

• Feed Mill Experience or related
• Previous forklift experience
• Basic computer knowledge
