Maintenance Mechanic

About This Role

Execute assigned maintenance tasks on dairy processing equipment and facility infrastructure. This role involves performing full breakdowns, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance to ensure continuous production operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on dairy processing equipment like pasteurizers, homogenizers, pumps, and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using diagnostic equipment and following safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly in production lines, including PLCs, motor controls, and automated systems.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems such as temperature sensors, pressure gauges, and automated valves.
• Conduct routine inspections of facility infrastructure including steam systems, compressed air lines, refrigeration equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, work orders, and equipment histories in CMMS, coordinating with production teams for scheduled repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within the mechanical field
• Proficiency with VFDs, stretch/blow molding equipment, conveyors, pumps, pneumatic sanitary valves, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems
• Proficiency with programmable logic controllers and instrumentation/controls
• Experience maintaining closed cooling systems including evaporator towers, water cooling towers, and industrial chillers

Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma is preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within the mechanical field.
