Maintenance Lead - HVAC

About This Role

The Maintenance Lead - HVAC (U) assigns and coordinates the activities of mechanics in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration systems and equipment throughout the assigned facilities. The incumbent ensures a productive workforce that supports the smooth and uninterrupted operations of institutional functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains accurate records of equipment and preventative maintenance
• Monitors maintenance schedules to assure tasks are performed in a timely manner
• Maintains current knowledge of HVAC and safety rules, regulations, and procedures
• Examines facility conditions to determine whether repairs or services are needed
• Trains staff on how to maintain and service equipment and related components
• Inspects completed work to verify performance standards and repair requirements
• Keeps daily logs of work, performed and pending, up-to-date
• Participates in the maintenance and repair functions
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license
• Minimum 5 Years Of Relevant Experience
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment
• Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications
• Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license
• Minimum 5 Years Of Relevant Experience
