The Maintenance 1-Helper performs light maintenance and janitorial duties for an senior living community, ensuring residents, offices, and common areas are well-maintained. This role contributes to a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform general and preventive maintenance, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and flooring repairs
- Respond to work orders promptly and complete tasks according to assigned priorities and timelines
- Maintain resident units, common areas, and exterior grounds
- Handle basic cleaning, trash, and recycling needs
- Safely operate and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies while keeping work areas clean and organized
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulations
- Communicate professionally with residents, team members, and vendors
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in building maintenance or equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of experience in building maintenance, or any equivalent combination of training and experience
Nice to Have
- Attendance at a technical training institute or program
