Maintenance Helper

About This Role

The Maintenance 1-Helper performs light maintenance and janitorial duties for an senior living community, ensuring residents, offices, and common areas are well-maintained. This role contributes to a safe and comfortable environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventive maintenance, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and flooring repairs
• Respond to work orders promptly and complete tasks according to assigned priorities and timelines
• Maintain resident units, common areas, and exterior grounds
• Handle basic cleaning, trash, and recycling needs
• Safely operate and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies while keeping work areas clean and organized
• Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulations
• Communicate professionally with residents, team members, and vendors

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in building maintenance or equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ year of experience in building maintenance, or any equivalent combination of training and experience

Nice to Have

• Attendance at a technical training institute or program
