Manage the overall operations of an affordable residential community, ensuring quality services within budgetary boundaries while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall operations of the community
- Maintain compliance with all requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), state Housing Finance Agency and state and local government agencies
- Manage team members through full cycle, including instructing, assigning and reviewing work, performance management, recruiting and other personnel functions
- Build positive relationships with current and potential residents, team members, and government agencies
- Monitor the financial condition of the community; estimate present and future financial needs
- Prepare and administer financial analysis, budgets, and cash management
- Ensure community is always REAC & MOR ready
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a manager for affordable housing community or equivalent training
- 2+ years of experience leading & supervising a team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with a major in a discipline concerned with service to people such as social work, business or public administration or a related field
- 2+ years of experience as a manager for affordable housing community or any equivalent combination of training and experience, and 2+ years of experience leading & supervising a team
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, business, public administration, or related field
- Certificate of Occupancy Specialist (or willingness to obtain)
- HUD/Tax experience
