Perform electrical duties to ensure the safe and cost-effective operation of manufacturing and production equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repair, inspection, maintenance, and installation of various electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform all assigned Electrical duties safely and cost-effectively
- Execute work orders, minimize downtime by providing fast, accurate troubleshooting, repair, inspection, maintenance, service, calibration, installation, and configuration for related manufacturing and production equipment
- Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and managers
- Maintain necessary records and documents of work performed
- Troubleshoot PLC hardware
- Operate electrical test equipment and interpret results
- Read, understand, and make use of associated drawings, schematics, diagrams
- Prepare accurate documentation
- Understand, interpret, and apply the National Electrical Code - NEC
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work activities and duties
Requirements
- 1 year experience as an Industrial/Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician
- OR 2 years trade/technical school in a related field
- OR 4 years Industrial/Manufacturing experience with electrical knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work alone, with a skilled tradesperson, or operations personnel
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Able to stand for long periods, climb, kneel, squat, and crawl
- Lift and carry materials and equipment of up to 75 lbs
- Knowledge of Electrical equipment and instrumentation or controls
- Knowledge of AC & DC motors, motor controls, and MCCs
- Knowledge of Electrical distribution and related equipment
- Knowledge of AC variable frequency drives/DC variable speed drives
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and automated equipment
- Familiarity with General Industrial or Manufacturing standards & practices, including OSHA
Qualifications
- 1 year experience as an Industrial/Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician, or 2 years trade/technical school in a related field, or 4 years Industrial/Manufacturing experience with electrical knowledge, skills, and abilities.
