Machine Maintenance Apprentice

About This Role

This role involves maintaining production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency, minimizing delays and breakdowns. The apprentice will work with a Total Productive Maintenance approach to support Printful's quality goals.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and improve production equipment settings to ensure peak performance and minimal damage rates.
• Maintain equipment using a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) approach to identify issues early and prevent breakdowns.
• Schedule equipment repairs and inform supervisors of larger issues.
• Clean all assigned equipment to maintain visual appearance.
• Monitor spare parts and inventory levels, reordering needed items.
• Follow technical manuals and maintenance guides, and help create standard operating procedures.
• Follow a regularly updated maintenance schedule and keep a maintenance log.
• Test new machinery and equipment, and help train employees on their use.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift objects weighing 50 lb.
