M&A Integration & Divestiture Senior Consultant

About This Role

Guide clients through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and divestiture processes, from strategy alignment to execution, ensuring flawless delivery and maximizing value in complex market conditions.

Responsibilities

• Advise and aid clients in flawless execution of M&A transactions
• Guide deal execution by aligning integration or divestiture strategies, Day 1 plans, and future-state goals
• Assist with synthesizing overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions
• Select relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements (e.g., business case, pricing or complex financial analysis)
• Interpret and report on outputs from analysis
• Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope
• Develop work plans for components of engagements
• Coordinate activities between workstreams
• Identify changes in scope
• Design deliverable content to reflect engagement contract and client needs
• Improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results
• Serve as trusted advisors to corporate and private equity clients

Requirements

• 4+ years of M&A I&D or M&A I&D service delivery experience
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years consulting and/or industry experience; alternatively, an MBA with 2+ years relevant work experience
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or MBA
• 4+ years of M&A Integration & Divestiture (I&D) or M&A I&D service delivery experience, or 2+ years relevant experience with an MBA

• Recent experience working in a professional services consulting firm
• Ability to work independently; lead small teams focused on specific work streams of larger projects
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Ability to apply practical experience with communications, culture, and change management
• Ability to perform analysis and synthesize data into useful insights
• Eagerness to mentor junior staff
• An advanced degree
