About This Role

This LPN position provides direct and indirect patient care in a multispecialty clinic setting, contributing to patient well-being under the supervision of a nurse manager or clinical leader. The role involves interviewing patients, recording vital signs, performing basic treatments, administering medications, and assisting with office responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients about current problems, medications, allergies and review medical records.
  • Measure and record patients' vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
  • Provide basic patient care or treatments such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, performing catheterizations, routine immunizations, nebulizer treatments, and visual acuity tests.
  • Participate in patient treatment regimens, including administering medications under the supervision of a physician and registered nurse.
  • Perform variety of office responsibilities: answer phones, take messages, and perform triage within scope of licensed practical nursing practice.
  • Collect samples, such as blood, urine, or sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures.
  • Help patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
  • Current LPN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
  • Entry level with 3 years nursing experience preferred

Nice to Have

  • 3 years nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support
