About This Role

Provide patient care as directed by a registered nurse, administering intravenous therapy according to state regulations, and delivering compassionate care that upholds patient dignity and autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and collaborate with professional registered nurse
  • Collect patient data
  • Assist in planning patient care
  • Assist in implementing patient care as directed
  • Assist with evaluating the plan of care
  • Administer medication as prescribed
  • Administer intravenous medications according to State Board of Nursing rules and regulations
  • Perform intravenous therapy according to State Board of Nursing rules and regulations
  • Provide and reinforce the teaching of individuals and groups of patients
  • Participate in activities designed to improve health care delivery

Requirements

  • LPN licensure
  • BLS Certification within 14 days of hire
  • Meets minimum IV therapy training requirements according to respective State Board of Nursing (AR/TN/MS)

Qualifications

  • Entry level. TN requires 6 months experience for IV therapy training.

Certifications

BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE (Required) MS-IV Certification (Required) TN & AR-IV course/training as defined by the state boards of nursing (Required)
