About This Role

This role involves preparing and maintaining food items for Barefoot's grill, ensuring quality control and adherence to standard recipes and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
• Read and employ math skills to follow recipes
• Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
• Visually inspect, select, and use only highest standard food items
• Check and control proper storage of products and portion control, especially for meat
• Maintain clean refrigeration, equipment, storage, and working areas to comply with health department regulations
• Ensure all products and procedures follow health code regulations
• Ensure all products are properly stored and labeled correctly

Requirements

• Cooking experience
• Good working knowledge of broiler cooking fundamentals
• Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
• Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment (stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles)
• Basic mathematical skills for recipes, measurements, requisitions, and portion sizes
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to complete requisitions, read recipes, and communicate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or culinary/apprenticeship program preferred
• Cooking experience required.
