Prepare and coordinate food service as a full-time cook at Barcadia Bar & Grill in New Orleans, ensuring all food and sanitation procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare lunch and/or dinner
- Review menus prior to preparation of food
- Assure that all food procedures are followed
- Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary
- Follow all sanitation guidelines
- Become familiar with new menu items/dishes
- Work as part of a team
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of food preparation experience
- Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
- Knowledge of cooking burgers and steaks to the correct requested temperature
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of food preparation experience required
Nice to Have
- Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training
- Experience with high volume food preparation
