Provide effective and technically competent nursing assistance to patients and providers, ensuring quality care, smooth patient flow, and compliance with regulations. This role involves assisting physicians with examinations and treatments while demonstrating excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight for medical support staff and give feedback for performance reviews under the supervision of the Health Center Manager
- Support quality improvement and compliance goals by ensuring UHC meets required regulations
- Review physician orders, lab results, and care instructions with patients, administering treatment within scope of nursing license
- Communicate with appropriate personnel to examine, revise, and evaluate inner-clinic processes to promote efficiency
- In-service provider and nursing staff regarding procedures, forms, and procedural changes
- Assist in supply orders and inventory control
- Provide prompt medical support, promote smooth patient flow, and collect/record data accurately
- Maintain order of exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Provide basic education and information to patients, answering questions and alleviating anxieties
- Support patient access by screening walk-in patients and routing appropriately
- Utilize standing orders and established screening guides under physician supervision for regulatory and continuity of care
- Take responsibility for outpatient medical charts using SOAP method of charting
- Provide telephone advice regarding care per health center protocol
- Assist the physician and/or provider in procedures and pelvic exams
- Administer medication and treatment ordered by physicians and/or provider staff
Requirements
- Completed LVN training program from an accredited school
- Valid LVN License
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid Lifesaving Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
Qualifications
- Completed LVN training program from an accredited school
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an ambulatory care setting

- Familiar with adult learning and general training techniques
- Effective leadership/supervisory skills
