Licensed Practical Nurse

About This Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide direct patient care at Delmar Internal Medicine, including administering vaccines, documenting patient information, and performing clinical procedures as directed by providers. This full-time role focuses on maintaining timely patient flow and supporting patient visits.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record vaccines.
• Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate.
• Document information into patience record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. PFT, EKG, nebulizer, medication administration and immunizations)
• Process patient prescriptions.
• Discuss test results with patients per provider's instructions.
