Licensed Practical Nurse

About This Role

This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse role will support Schodack Internal Medicine and Pediatrics by performing essential clinical and administrative tasks to maintain patient flow and provide patient care. This position focuses on direct patient interaction, vaccination administration, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record vaccines
• Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate
• Document information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner
• Maintain timely patient flow
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider
• Perform accurate and timely order entry into the lab system
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. PFT, EKG, nebulizer, medication administration and immunizations)
• Process patient prescriptions
• Discuss test results with patients per provider's instructions
