Licensed Practical Nurse

About This Role

This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse position at Delmar Internal Medicine involves administering vaccines, documenting patient information, preparing patients for visits, obtaining specimens, and performing clinical office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record vaccines
• Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate
• Document information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner
• Maintain timely patient flow
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider
• Ensure accurate and timely order entry into the lab system
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. PFT, EKG, nebulizer, medication administration and immunizations)
• Process patient prescriptions
• Discuss test results with patients per provider's instructions

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
