This Legal Executive Assistant role supports attorneys in the Corporate practice by managing daily functions, acting as a trusted business partner, and ensuring smooth operations. This position creates connections, delivers critical information, and oversees meetings and materials for the attorney's practice, while collaborating with other legal support staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and management of attorney’s projects, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal departments, handling inquiries and relaying messages accurately using independent judgment
- Develop and maintain professional relationships to ensure efficient teamwork, providing clear direction and constructive feedback
- Delegate assignments to Legal Support Assistants (LSAs) and AskLegalSupport, monitoring progress and ensuring timely completion
- Collaborate with other LEAs or LAAs on complex projects and provide mentorship to LSAs
- Draft, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, and presentations, ensuring accuracy of final work product
- Oversee the maintenance and organization of electronic and paper filing systems within the firm’s DMS/repositories
- Conduct research for attorneys and practice groups, compiling information for case preparation and executive briefings
- Oversee meeting planning, coordinating logistics, preparing agendas, and ensuring materials are accurately prepared and available
- Oversee billing matters, including processing prebills and serving as a proxy for attorneys on billing questions
- Manage attorney’s calendar, schedule meetings, resolve conflicts, and organize complex travel itineraries
Requirements
- 5+ years' administrative experience in corporate or legal environment
- Support to upper-level leadership
- Expert experience with technology and Firm software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Proficiency in research tools, case management software, accounting software
- Ability to adapt to application upgrades and use AI-Powered Tools
- Proficiency in virtual firm collaboration tools like Zoom and Teams
- Ability to communicate effectively in native language (email/voice)
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
Qualifications
- High School or GED, Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, or a related field preferred
- 5 years’ experience in an administrative role within a corporate or legal environment providing support to upper-level leadership
