As a Lead Engineering Manager, you will strategically lead and communicate the vision for modern software engineering, guiding teams to deliver innovative and scalable solutions. You will drive the technology roadmap, fostering a culture of excellence and mentoring engineers while partnering with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to defining, communicating, and refining a compelling engineering vision aligned with business objectives
- Champion the integrated engineering strategy and technology roadmap, promoting reuse, quality, and speed
- Drive achievement of engineering KPIs, including system performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
- Contribute hands-on to design and code, mentor engineers, and resolve technical challenges
- Mentor and develop full-stack engineering talent in modern practices such as microservices, cloud-native design, and DevSecOps
- Embrace an iterative and incremental product development approach, prioritizing rapid learning and adaptation
- Maintain a relentless focus on solving critical customer challenges and aligning technical solutions with business outcomes
- Establish and evolve engineering standards, coding practices, and quality benchmarks to ensure robust solutions
- Influence, persuade, and drive decision-making processes through effective communication
- Engage stakeholders at all organizational levels to build collaborative relationships and co-create value
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline
- 15+ years of proven experience with programming languages, technologies, and frameworks like Python, C#, Java, Node.js, Golang, .NET Core
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native integration services on Azure, AWS, or GCP
- 5+ years of experience with defining and driving engineering KPIs, implementing engineering maturity models
- 3+ years of experience with AI/ML
- Deep understanding of methodologies and tools such as XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE
- Proven ability to drive adoption of modern engineering practices at scale
- Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing diverse engineering teams
- Strong understanding of security, privacy, and compliance requirements in enterprise software engineering
- Demonstrated experience aligning engineering initiatives with business and customer value in agile environments
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline
- 15+ years of proven experience with programming languages, technologies, and frameworks, with 5+ years driving engineering KPIs and 3+ years with AI/ML.
