This role involves shaping and communicating a strategic vision for modern software engineering, providing hands-on leadership across high-impact products, and driving a forward-looking technology roadmap. You will guide teams in delivering robust, high-quality solutions, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to defining, communicating, and refining a compelling engineering vision that translates business objectives into actionable strategies.
- Ensure engineering teams are aligned and engaged, collaborating closely with product, experience, delivery, infrastructure, and security teams.
- Champion the integrated engineering strategy and technology roadmap, ensuring organizational awareness of objectives, KPIs, maturity, and compliance.
- Drive achievement of engineering KPIs, including system performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Contribute hands-on to design and code, mentor engineers, and resolve technical challenges.
- Mentor and develop full-stack engineering talent in modern practices such as frontend, microservices, cloud-native design, AI/ML/GenAI, data engineering, and DevSecOps.
- Embrace an iterative and incremental product development, prioritizing rapid learning and adaptation.
- Establish and evolve engineering standards, coding practices, and quality benchmarks.
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring operational excellence and resilience.
- Influence, persuade, and drive decision-making processes with clear, structured arguments and technical trade-offs.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization and build collaborative relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, Node.js, Golang, .NET Core.
- 15+ years of experience with technologies like XML/JSON, REST/SOAP/GraphQL, SQL/NoSQL, SSO/MFA.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native integration services on Azure, AWS, GCP.
- 5+ years of experience with defining and driving engineering KPIs and implementing engineering maturity models.
- Deep understanding of methodologies and tools like XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE, ADO, GitHub, SonarQube, CAST.
- Proven ability to drive adoption of modern engineering practices at scale.
- Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing diverse engineering teams.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline. An advanced degree (e.g., MS) is preferred.
- 15+ years of proven experience with programming languages, technologies, and frameworks; 8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native integration services; 5+ years of experience with defining and driving engineering KPIs; 3+ years of experience with AI/ML.
