As a Lead Engineering Manager, you will help shape and communicate a strategic vision for modern software engineering, providing hands-on leadership across multiple high-impact products. You will contribute to and execute a forward-looking technology roadmap, driving simplification, scalability, and efficiency. You will guide teams in delivering robust, high-quality solutions and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to defining, communicating, and refining a compelling engineering vision aligned with business objectives
- Ensure engineering teams are aligned and engaged, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
- Champion the integrated engineering strategy and technology roadmap, ensuring organizational awareness of objectives, KPIs, maturity, and compliance
- Drive achievement of engineering KPIs, including system performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
- Contribute hands-on to design and code, mentor engineers, and resolve technical challenges
- Mentor and develop full-stack engineering talent in modern practices such as frontend, microservices, cloud-native design, AI/ML/GenAI, and DevSecOps
- Embrace iterative and incremental product development, prioritizing rapid learning and adaptation
- Align technical solutions with business outcomes, minimize unnecessary complexity, and drive teams toward high performance
- Establish and evolve engineering standards, coding practices, and quality benchmarks, proactively mitigating technical risks
- Influence, persuade, and drive decision-making processes, communicating effectively in written and verbal forms
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline
- Excellent software engineering and product architecture/design foundation (BCD, OOP/OOD, data structures, algorithms, code instrumentation, messaging patterns)
- 15+ years of experience with Python, C#, Java, Node.js, Golang, .NET Core, XML/JSON, REST/SOAP/GraphQL, SQL/NoSQL, SSO/MFA, and unit testing frameworks
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native integration services on Azure, AWS, or GCP (e.g., API Gateways, Message Brokers, Queuing Services)
- 5+ years of experience with defining and driving engineering KPIs, implementing engineering maturity models, and continuous improvement
- 3+ years of experience with AI/ML
- Deep understanding of methodologies and tools such as XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE, ADO, GitHub, SonarQube, CAST
- Proven ability to drive adoption of modern engineering practices at scale and cross-functional collaboration
- Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing diverse engineering teams
- Strong understanding of security, privacy, and compliance requirements in enterprise software engineering
- Demonstrated experience aligning engineering initiatives with business and customer value in agile environments
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline
- 15+ years of proven experience with programming languages, technologies, and frameworks; 8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native integration services; 5+ years of experience with defining and driving engineering KPIs; 3+ years of experience with AI/ML.
