Lead Cashier

About This Role

This role involves leading cashier operations, ensuring efficient guest transactions, and maintaining cashwrap standards. The Lead Cashier will train new cashiers, drive loyalty results, and support the leadership team with open and close register functions to enhance the guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and retail shrink
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products/services
• Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by pairing them with an associate for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events
• Take ownership over the replenishment, organization, and maintenance of all cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
• Support the leadership team by completing cashier chat ins and chat outs as well as associate exit inspections as needed
• Assist in the training of new cashiers and cross-training other associates in cashiering
• Ensure the completion of all transactions and the proper control of all cash and media at the cashwrap
• Complete select register open and close functions as directed by the manager on duty

Requirements

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment in ambiguous situations, and be flexible/adaptable
• Must be 18 years of age

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
