Lead Bus Systems Analyst

About This Role

This role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for internal customers to ensure technology solutions align with business needs and strategic goals. The individual will design, document, and test business solutions, while assisting in defining the department's project roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Business Stakeholders and IT infrastructure teams to define, gather, and document business processes and needs
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for development
• Perform business systems and process analysis of existing and future systems/processes
• Coordinate requirements for new and existing applications
• Assist in testing, training plan development and training, support for users, and developing user documentation
• Participate in QA process, identify test cases, explain complex processes, and aid in developing test plans
• Analyze current state and emerging technology/application and functionality/business needs proactively to add value for a department
• Develop detailed business cases, ROI calculations, value definition, cost assessments, benefits, and risk analyses
• Work with the project team to manage project scope and timeline, from conception to implementation
• Act as liaison between business unit representatives, customers, and IT team

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline
• Generally 8+ years of experience in a related field; or MS/MA and generally 5+ years of experience in a related field

Nice to Have

• Prior supervisory experience
• Experience in a distributed team environment
• Database experience (SQL, Data Warehousing, Oracle, Informix, etc.)
• Familiarity with database concepts and use
