Launch Leader, SSD OpX Launch Excellence

About This Role

The Launch Leader, SSD OpX Launch Excellence, is a high-performing operator role within Amazon's Rapid and Rural Logistics team, focused on optimizing processes, reducing costs, and improving quality for new launch sites in the SSD network. This role involves significant travel to establish best practices and support site leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate new launch site teams
• Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
• Create and implement productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders to load balance
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 49 pounds, standing and walking during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and continuously climbing and descending stairs
• Work in varying noise levels and temperatures (including refrigerated environments) as business demands
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or overnight shifts

Requirements

• 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE), or 3+ years of people management experience
• Ability to work flexible hours including overnight, weekends and holidays
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time

• 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE), or 3+ years of people management experience

Nice to Have

• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
