Laborer Telecom Aerial

About This Role

As a Groundman at VCI Construction, you will support an Aerial Telecom Crew in the installation and maintenance of fiber and telecom cables and materials. Your role is vital in connecting America by performing duties related to the installation and repair of aerial telecommunications cable, ensuring work meets customer standards.

Responsibilities

• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications are completed before starting work
• Stock, clean, and maintain company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Perform underground telecommunications construction, including driving, loading, digging, equipment removal, material placement, restoration, and repair
• Operate or work near heavy machinery and construction tools safely
• Restore property, including asphalt, concrete, sod, and landscaping, to its original state

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience

Nice to Have

• Previous labor experience in telecommunications
