About This Role

Perform routine tasks and simple analysis on hazardous waste samples, utilizing various laboratory techniques to manage waste and ensure regulatory compliance. This entry-level role offers career growth opportunities within the laboratory and across Veolia.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks and simple analysis on hazardous waste samples
• Utilize prescribed procedures following company and regulatory guidelines
• Determine the nature of hazardous substances using wet chemistry methodologies
• Perform fingerprint screens and cyanide analysis
• Gain experience on instruments such as gas chromatographs, calorimeters, flash point testers, ICPs, Mercury Analyzers, Ion Chromatography, pH meter, and Bomb Calorimeters

Requirements

• 2-4 years prior laboratory work experience
• Ability to use laboratory apparatus and equipment safely
• Ability to perform accurate reproducible work
• Ability to define problems, collect data, troubleshoot and draw valid conclusions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline preferred
• 2-4 years prior laboratory work experience required
