This role involves installing, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and overhauling various instrumentation, including computer and microprocessor systems, within treatment plants to ensure proper processing of raw sewage.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and overhaul instrumentation
- Assist with the maintenance of computer and microprocessor systems associated with treatment plants
- Report any unsafe conditions encountered during duties
- Utilize test equipment like multi-meters for process instrument and control system maintenance
- Collaborate with engineers and vendors for new control system installation, startup, and testing
- Modify existing control systems and act as a resource for control system designs
- Update Operating and Maintenance documents in hard copy, electronic, and software formats
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Electronics Technology or demonstrated ability
- 1-3 years' experience in electronics technology field
- Knowledge in principles, practices, concepts, and techniques of advanced digital and analog electronics
- Ability to solder and de-solder without damaging materials
- Ability and skill in reading schematics or process and instrumentation drawings
- Ability to use calibrating equipment
- Ability and skills in diagnosing and repairing equipment problems
- Valid Wisconsin's Driver's License
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Electronics Technology from an accredited technical college or demonstrated ability
- 1-3 years' experience in the electronics technology field
