Lab Associate

About This Role

Process and manage laboratory samples from check-in through analysis, ensuring efficient and accurate handling in a fast-paced environment. This role requires standing and moving for extended periods while handling various biological samples.

Responsibilities

• Check in couriers and receive laboratory samples
• Unbag and barcode samples
• Move samples throughout the lab
• Load samples into analyzers
• Place samples into centrifuges
• Mix/swirl samples with liquid chemicals
• Retrieve samples from refrigerated storage
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume lab environment
• Perform duties while standing and moving for extended periods

Requirements

• Willingness to handle blood, urine, fecal samples, and biopsies
• Experience in fast-paced, physical roles (food service, warehouse, production, fulfillment, Amazon/FedEx)

Nice to Have

• Prior overnight shift experience (recent preferred)
• Understanding of and ability to acclimate to overnight schedules
• Experience in high-volume labs (LabCorp, Quest Diagnostics, large hospitals)
• Background as a Processor, Accessioner, or Phlebotomist
• Vet Tech or Vet Assistant experience
• Experience in fulfillment, warehouse, food service, Amazon, or FedEx
• Recent Biology degree with hands-on, fast-paced work experience
