As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will contribute to the design of civil engineering components for Federal projects, including site development for US military facilities, within a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess site features and create site layouts
- Design utilities systems and pavements
- Develop grading and drainage plans
- Design stormwater management facilities
- Perform erosion control design
- Create 3D models using Civil3D software for site work surfaces and underground utilities
- Prepare engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform material take-offs for estimating
- Assist with services during construction, including review and approval of contractor submittal documents
- Research and implement regulatory and permitting requirements
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience on site development projects
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Engineer in Training (EIT) designation or Engineer Intern (EI) certification from any US state
- Background in plan production and project execution
- AutoCAD Civil3D design experience including development of 3D site models
- United States Citizen
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
- At least 2 years of experience on site development projects
