A Janitorial Cleaner at Harvard Maintenance is responsible for performing basic cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of various areas, including common areas, restrooms, and entrances. This role contributes to providing premier commercial janitorial services for the company's clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic cleaning tasks including cleaning common areas, restrooms, entrances, elevators, walkways, and windows
- Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
- Empty trash and recycling bins, and dispose of waste properly
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all designated areas
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
- Perform additional duties as required, including attending to flooded areas and incidental spills
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to and from work sites
- Willingness to work assigned hours
- Capability to perform physical demands of the job (bending, kneeling, carrying, lifting, reaching, standing for extended periods)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred
Nice to Have
- 1 year experience in cleaning
