IT Software Developer

About This Role

This role involves designing and developing software and unit tests for automation products within the Functional Safety team, contributing to complex software design and development tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design complex software subsystems
• Develop complex software subsystems
• Participate in requirement reviews
• Participate in design reviews
• Participate in code reviews of project software
• Design unit tests
• Implement unit tests
• Interpret standards, specifications, and other documents for task implementation
• Resolve technical issues independently, including analysis and reporting
• Implement quality and process improvements
• Participate in the creation of project schedules and adhere to them

Requirements

• 0-3 years in software development
• Proficiency in C# or Java programming language
• Understanding of object-oriented design methodologies
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 0-3 years in software development

Nice to Have

• Proficiency with NUnit or JUnit
• Proficiency with XML
• Familiarity with Industrial Automation control systems (e.g., PLCs and engineering systems)
