This role involves supporting inventory management operations by performing manual, clerical, and data entry tasks related to the receiving, movement, storage, and shipping of materials and equipment, particularly sensitive electronics. The position ensures accurate inventory tracking and participates in cycle counting processes.
Responsibilities
- Record information regarding materials received and shipped in the department computer system
- Participate in inventory cycle counting process, entering and tracking data in spreadsheets and the company MRP system
- Analyze inventory data for problems and report them to the Logistics Manager
- Package and handle materials within company guidelines
- Count and/or weigh incoming parts to verify receipt
- Ensure that all materials requiring inspection are moved to the proper locations
- Separate and move materials, equipment, and supplies to and from stores, warehouses, and manufacturing areas
- Unload trucks, ensuring all material and receiving paperwork is accounted for and complete
- Verify inspection stamps, signatures, quantities, and acceptance tags/labels after inspection
- Work independently in a warehouse environment
Requirements
- Experience with operating forklifts, order picker, and electric pallet jack
- Experience with receiving, inventory control, and cycle counting processes and warehouse functions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Ability to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of prior material handling experience with a High School Diploma or 2 years with an Associate's Degree
Nice to Have
- Experience in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) sensitive electronics handling
- Experience in HazMat/explosives handling, packaging, and shipping
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Experience with MRP systems or Oracle
