Inventory Control Group Leader

About This Role

Lead and coordinate inventory control activities at the Equipment & Assembly Plant, including managing daily MRP through SAP, creating part numbers, and overseeing physical inventory. Supervise a team and ensure the quality and compliance of equipment and products.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily MRP using SAP and create part numbers/material masters
• Enter purchasing requisitions, spare parts orders, and field service requests
• Conduct and report annual physical inventory
• Direct daily activities of workers in Part Room / Shipping & Receiving, Inventory & cycle counts, and Mechanical Assembly
• Supervise 2-10 workers and perform hands-on work with direct reports as needed
• Understand and develop safe job procedures, train employees, and enforce all policies
• Maintain records, approve time, complete SAP transactions, order production supplies, and control production costs
• Train and develop direct reports in all aspects of the job
• Ensure quality and specification compliance of equipment/products produced in the area

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3-5 years fabrication experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred
• 3-5 years fabrication experience is required
